vegetarians, red meat, etc.

So, as Diann & I were driving home from the grocery store (yet another trip to the store while hungry, oops!) we decided that there should be more vegetarians in the world. This would mean more red meat and other good stuff for us. 😉 Random piece of info for the day: Silk Vanilla Soy Milk is actually drinkable, and might actually fall into the “pretty good” category. (Thanks, Mel!)

ahhh spring break

The annual tradition of spring break, where all my evil neighbors go out of town and I get a week of peace and quiet. 🙂 Actually went out of town this last weekend to San Diego though, which was pretty much awesome. Gorgeous weather, good relaxation, and not having to go to school or work. Got lots of pictures as always. Another highlight: $18 shots of tequila.

It’s about time

Looks like U.S. Money will finally have different colors for different denominations of bills starting with the $20. I say it's about time! See story at CNN/Money.

New Cell Phone

Got a new cell phone today. Samsung A500. Wow. I've already got it playing Margaritaville as my ring tone. t1mmy.net provides a great way to get new ring tones on the phone, and a500hacking.com is trying to get info on the internals. Oh, it's got a different phone number than my current cell, so if you want it, email me.

Public Service Announcement

Courtesy of Danny, here's the latest info in the continuing War on Terrorism:

As we all know, the Taliban considers it a sin for a man to see a naked woman who is not his wife. So, next Saturday at 2:00 PM Eastern time all American women are asked to walk out of their house completely naked to help weed out any neighborhood terrorists. Circling your block for one hour is recommended for this antiterrorist effort. All men are to position themselves in lawn chairs in front of their house to prove they are not Taliban, demonstrate that they think it's okay to see nude women other than their wife and to show support for all American women. And since the Taliban also does not approve of alcohol, a cold six-pack at your side is further proof of your anti-Taliban sentiment. The American Government appreciates your efforts to root out terrorists and applauds your participation in this antiterrorist activity. God bless America!

The latest…

So, went to the Aggie basketball game this weekend. Took pictures. We lost though. But hooray for Tonia getting us seats two rows off the court. That was awesome. So was the homemade lasagna Diann & I made last night; too bad I forgot to bring some to the office to munch on today for lunch though.

But today is Monday. Most people say Mondays suck, but they obviously don't watch Strong Bad E-Mail. After that gets watched, Mondays suck though.

The funniest story ever

Today while idling on IRC, someone (Hey jss!) posted the funniest account of remote control randomness I've ever seen. Be ready to laugh, and read it here.

What a week!

So the week is nearly halfway over, and it's been quite a week already. Yesterday evening I had the opportunity to hear the Tibetan Monks from the Drepung Loseling Monestary perform multiphonic chants at TAMU. Then this morning, my winnings from an eBay auction arrived. Serious bragging rights! Then this afternoon, I watched the Monks do sand painting for 3 hours. This stuff is absolutely amazing! If you're at TAMU, I'd highly recommend going to check this out before they finish at noon on Friday. I got pictures, too.

Site Changes

So, obviously the site was getting a little dull, so I decided to use Drupal to automate some of my commenting on the front page. Should make the page management a wee bit easier for me as well. Micah and James have been using it for a while and are happy with it, so I figured I'd give it a whirl.
