Well, Diann and I have decided to tear out the carpet in the living room. Going for that trendy, concrete foundation look. (Not really, but I'll have pictures with the end result in a few days)
At any rate, we spent yesterday evening cutting up and ripping up carpet, padding, and tack strips with the help of Micah and James. Pulling up tack strips was a PITA until Diann found some tool at Home Depot designed for, well, pulling up tack strips. It made the job much faster. Then we had to putty/level the little holes made by the nails, and clean the concrete. More work continues tonight…
Oh, and the pets are freaking out..
